Small Scale Anaerobic Digester
March 25th, 2009 by wastemineAnaerobic Digestion on a small scale is very rare to come by inĀ UK and the argument has been that its not viable and this is not 100% true. I have come across several innovative anaerobic digester design that can be financially viable in a small scale scenario. i believe that the design of the digester makes the difference.
If the rate of digestion is quicker, then small digester size can produce more biogas compared to a large digester that the conversion rate is small. Its all about how quick that certain amount of organic waste in the digester can be broken down by the bacteria to produce biogas though certain conditions that enableĀ anaerobic digestion can be optimised to make this possible.
